Being an Angel Investor is a Privilege

Yes, you read that right.

it is a privilege to have the opportunity to invest in an entrepreneur, their product & their company! The fact that they let us inside their tent as we join them on their journey is indeed a privilege. It is risky, but what a privilege it is!  To get a front-row seat to all types of innovation; some crazy and some breathtakingly brilliant. We have the experience to potentially help bring a new product to market and watch a group of people turn into a family as they grow into a team, it’s a unique experience, each one different from the next. 

It is a privilege to collaborate with other angel investors from all different experiences, and to meet people you would otherwise likely never meet. A tribe of people who share so much in common, yet are so different in how or what they invest in. Hearing stories of what their most interesting investment has been to date – the stories of wild success and crushing loss all factor into the experience. 

It’s a mostly male tribe, but slowly more women are now joining as they want to have some fun too. Women investors want to help make the world a better place, add jobs, help to bring life-saving technology to the masses, and so much more. So, I am calling all women to partake of this privilege; we cannot let our male colleagues have all the fun!!
